It finally happened!
Southern Cross NEXT underwater fiber cable project has finished on the 7th of July.
What does this mean? Well, let’s just say it is a world first in length and capacity, linking New Zealand via 400GbE to the rest of the world.
How will this help me? The cost for global datacenters will decrease for the New Zealand consumers and performance will increase drastically.
